Meet Dr. Morris
Dr. Morris is a clinical and forensic psychologist with over 25 years of experience, dedicated to supporting individuals through expert mental health care and comprehensive forensic evaluations.
Her journey began in the southern United States, where she was raised in a loving, working-class family. After relocating to California, she earned her undergraduate degree from Antioch University and later obtained her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles in 1999.
Dr. Morris honed her expertise through rigorous professional training, completing predoctoral work in trauma at community-based organizations and the South Central Training Consortium. She further developed her skills through internships at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (Division of Adolescent Medicine), postdoctoral training at Children’s Institute International and Pacific Clinics, and served as a Psychological Assistant to a prominent forensic psychologist.
Dr.Morris specializes in evaluating individuals within the legal system, offering a wide range of psycho-legal assessments, including re-sentencing, mitigation, juvenile transfer and fitness, competency, NGRI, diversion, mental health, trauma, personality, and intellectual disability evaluations.
Drawing on the latest research and a robust understanding of both legal and mental health principles, Dr. Morris provides detailed, evidence-based evaluations. Her commitment to rigorous assessment ensures that every client receives accurate, ethical, and tailored recommendations to support the judicial process.
In addition to over two decades in private practice, Dr. Morris dedicated 13 years to the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, where she was instrumental in developing and managing specialized programs. She has provided invaluable care to children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and cultural issues.
